Everything you need to write about CardVault.
Boilerplate
CardVault is a family app for Pokémon card collectors. It scans cards with a phone camera — one at a time, in rapid succession, or a whole nine-pocket binder page at once — recognises the print, the set and the number, and files each card into the collection of the child it belongs to. It keeps sets, binders, wish lists, trade piles, deck lists and themed collections, shows what a collection is worth from public price data, and does it all in eleven languages across the Western, Japanese and Chinese card catalogues.
CardVault is free to use. It has no advertising, no chat and no social feed, and it stores nothing about a child beyond a first name and an emoji. Family Plus, a subscription, adds more collector profiles, unlimited AI help when a scan is unsure, themed sets from a typed sentence, a deck builder and the portfolio view. The app runs in any browser and installs to the home screen; the Android app is on its way.
CardVault is made by truck8.ai in Oudenbosch, the Netherlands. It is an independent tool, not affiliated with Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company.
Logo and icon
The app icon in the sizes it ships in. The SVG is the master; please do not recolour it or set it on a busy background.
Screenshots
Screens of the real app, captured in this language in the dark theme. Every screen also exists in the light theme and in the other ten languages: swap the language segment and “dark” for “light” in the address.
The screenshots are captured from a demo household, so no real family’s data is in them.
The film
A short film of the app in use, recorded from the real app rather than staged as a mock-up. It is coming with the film; the link below starts working the day it lands.
